March 9 - Eric Johnson, US Sailing Senior Judge, Race Officer & Umpire, Sonar Measurer. Weather and current can dramatically affect where and how you sail.

March 16 - Erik Storck, 3-time All American College Sailor, US Sailing Olympic Hopeful. What is the big deal about Optimist sailing anyway and why are Opti’s the boat of choice for juniors?

March 23 - John McGrane, Manager of Oyster Bay Marine Service. What do you need to look for when stepping on to a boat to ensure everything is going to go smoothly?

March 30 - Doug Wefer, US Sailing Area B Representative and Umpire. Time to review tactics as well as the rules with a pro.

April 6 - Tom Constiglione, Sailmaker for North Sails. Hear the story and the changes in sail cloth and sail design throughout the decades.

The JSA Regatta Management Workshop is Saturday, March 27, at the Beach Point Club in Mamaroneck NY, 9:30am – 11:30am.

Plan now and save time and energy later, as we review best practices from start to finish on and off the water. Topics include:

• Writing the NOR and SIs

• Registration

• Safety

• Scoring

• The Judges’ role
